The NABC Southern Region connects and empowers Black mental health professionals across the Gulf Coast, the Southeast, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Our region reflects the richness and diversity of the Black diaspora. Together, we are cultivating a network of clinicians who lead with cultural humility, advocate for equitable care, and strengthen the communities they serve.

Our Regional Focus

Professional Growth
Providing continuing education, networking opportunities, mentorship, and leadership development designed to help Black clinicians thrive throughout every stage of their careers.

Culturally Responsive Care
Promoting clinical practices that honor the diverse histories, identities, languages, and lived experiences of Black communities across the South and Caribbean.

Community & Connection
Creating spaces where clinicians can collaborate, build relationships, exchange resources, and support one another beyond state and territorial borders.

Regional Advocacy
Addressing the unique mental health needs of our region—from disaster recovery and rural access to healthcare disparities, workforce development, and culturally responsive behavioral health services.
