Dr. Sheffield leads our Southern Heartland Region in fostering mental health equity across four culturally rich states from the Appalachian foothills to the Mississippi Delta.

Our Regional Focus
We address the unique needs of:
• Rural and agricultural communities
• Historically Black college towns
• Southern urban centers
• Underserved delta populations

✓ Faith & Wellness Collaborations – Partnering with faith leaders in mental health ministry
✓ HBCU Pipeline Project – Developing next-generation counselors
